U.S. Search and Rescue Task Force

Search and Rescue is almost all volunteer, like the Fire Department, except SAR Teams provide their own response vehicles. They provide and keep their own gear and  maintain their gear. This gear is almost always from personal expenses. There isn't a central location for receiving call outs, instead pagers alert members. Ideally the members have their gear with them or they have to go pick it up. Reducing reaction time, and putting peoples lives at stake. I will explain. Since the nature of receiving a call out strikes as very important, we attach dismissals to our driving, reactions and actions. Since the SAR member would be already excited over the pager alert adding additional stress by having to be 'behind' in responding the SAR member may cause an accident on the way to the response.

I am proud to be a member of The SAR community.

If you find yourself wanting to help a Search Team with a donation while helping yourself  at the same time (By sponsoring a Team member for a SAR Trading card-The members personal message and Team stats are on the back along  with your name and logo on the card as the sponsor!). This email link   will bring your request for more information to the Chief.  This is a funtastic way to help raise funds for SAR members and show you care about your community.
