ABC's Development
I developed the ABC's at a time in my life when every step forward came with great effort. I saw a poster on a gym wall once that was exactly the same in format. I tried to mold the words to best lead and comfort me. Using the words ''you" and "I" interchangeably has had the best results.
The first time I saw The ABC poster it was on the wall in the gym. It had a statement for each leeter of the alphabet. At the time I called my voicemail and spoke the words into the receiver. Everyday, for 30 days, I called my voicemail and listened as I recanted along the statements. The idea was to inundate myself with these positive statements and I would subconsciously play the statements and this would make me feel better about life, myself and those around me.
The experiment was successful and then forgotten. Later I rewrote the ABC's. As the years have passed I have always returned to these ABC's when troubled or unfocused and I repeat the original process.
I encourage you to use this process for yourself. You might feel a little silly at first! But so what.
